Darren Waddell has been employed by MicroSkills for over five years. Having served as a Technical Recruiter prior to joining MicroSkills, he brings the experience and insight into the hiring process which he is able to share with students who are transitioning from school into the field of Information Technology. In addition to his background in technical recruiting, Darren also possesses several years of sales and marketing experience which play a vital role in establishing and maintaining relationships with prospective employers. Through these relationships, he has helped MicroSkills establish itself as a resource for companies looking to hire IT professionals. Darren also conducts a series of workshops designed to equip students with the skills to write an effective resume, interview properly, and implement successful job search strategies. In addition to his duties as Career Services Manager, Darren serves as the Associate Director of MicroSkills assisting in the execution of the institutions mission and objectives.
Darren holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. He has been issued a Certificate of Authorization for Service by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education, to serve as an Associate Director.
As the Associate Director/Career Services Manager of MicroSkills, Darren’s goal is to ensure a positive environment where students can achieve their educational goals and to assist them in securing gainful employment in the IT field.
